CINEMA EQUIPMENT SALES is a Southern California based source for motion-picture theatre projection and sound equipment; theatre furnishings, including auditorium seating and screens; and related accessories. The company specializes in 16mm - 35mm - and 70mm Projection equipment, and digital sound for cinemas of all sizes,including studio screening-room facilities. Representing more than 50 of the leading manufacturers of theatre equipment and furnishings. We offer worldwide service, including architectural and technical consulting and planning. COMPANY PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER, CARL WILLIAMS, has more than 25 years experience in the theatre equipment industry. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; and a prior member of the British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society; The S.M.P.T.E. and the International Theatre Equipment Association. His screen credits as photographic consultant include the 1966 Dino de Laurentiis production "The Bible", and the award-winning production "Patton". Both were photographed in the 70mm "Dimension 150" process, which he co-invented.

GENERAL MANAGER AND TECHNICAL ENGINEER, MICHAEL SMITH, has designed, installed complete projection and sound systems and technical projection and sound upgrades for Hollywood production facilities and for commercial theatres worldwide. His background of education and experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, coupled with his Dolby training & Certification , THX Film Recertification training, THX Home Theatre Certified Dealer/Installer, Barco Digital Cinema Dealer/Installer uniquely qualify him for all phases of screening-room and cinema technology. He is also a member of SMPTE.

TECHNICAL SOUND AND PROJECTION ENGINEER, CASEY KAMPS, has joined our staff. He has a technical Military background - ELT aboard U.S. Naval Nuclear Submarines, provide him with an intimate knowledge of electronics and mechanics. Casey has Dolby Analog & Digital training, THX Film Recertification Training, THX Home Theatre Certified Dealer/Installer, Barco Digital Cinema Dealer/Installer, Digital Projection troubleshooting. He was the sole cinema technician for the complete installation of the first THX 35mm Cinema on the continent of Africa. 4-16-01 / 5-16-01
