The DTS-ES Extended Surround adapter is designed for the latest innovation in surround sound formats, bringing cinema sound and showmanship to new levels. Using the latest DSP technology, the DTS-ES provides digital one-octave equalization of all channels, and includes separate EQ settings for ES and non-ES modes.

Fully compatible with all current 5.1 digital formats and systems, the DTS-ES also provides event closures to trigger dramatic trailer and feature effects, such as strobe lights, lasers, and more. Just about any kind of visual effect a filmmaker can imagine, can be created with the DTS-ES! Through the use of the left and right surround speakers, as well as center surround speakers, sound effects can literally sweep around the audience, even seeming to fly over them, as they provide a fully immersive and engrossing cinematic experience.

Easy Installation with Standard DTS Reliability

Installation is easy and offers a simple menu programmed setup.

Basic installation requires (1) taking the two signals going to the split surround power amps, and wiring them to the ES decoder; and (2) taking the three signals to the surround power amps and the additional back surround (BS) amplifier. Format selection must be wired in from the cinema processor. DTS' exclusive event feature requires wiring the ES timecode reader and the event outputs.
